Rudenhausen mourns the death of simon bergmann

Simon bergmann was born in 1925 in heidingsfeld and completed a commercial apprenticeship after leaving school. After the war, he joined the federal postal service and moved to rudenhausen. He first worked in wiesentheid, and from 1951 until his retirement in 1988 he ran the post office in rudenhausen.

He joined the municipal council in 1956, where he was the youngest member at the time. From the very beginning, he felt an affinity with the "freie wahler". Until 1996 he was a member of the board without interruption, from 1972 as mayor.

Many awards

Bergmann has received many awards for his services to local politics. In 1990 he was awarded the medal for special services to local self-government, and in 1994 the federal cross of merit with ribbon. In 1999, the municipality of rudenhausen made him an honorary citizen of the city. He was also awarded the german armed forces cross of honor in gold, the highest award given by the german armed forces to civilians.

Simon bergmann was not only a burgermeister in body and soul, he was also committed to the life of the association. He was for many years chairman of the fire department, the TSV and the vdk local association rudenhausen. He was a founding member of the local association, the singing club and the soldiers' comradeship. In gratitude, he was appointed honorary chairman or honorary member by the associations.

In his many activities, his wife luitgard, to whom he had been married since 1949 and had a son norbert and a daughter karin, kept his back free.
